Every designer knows that feeling, hard to name but easy to recognize: "OMG it worked!" or "oh, that's how you do that!" or honestly, "let me see what YouTube has on this." Over time those little discoveries become routine, and creativity needs something new to chew on. A couple months ago I started learning TouchDesigner, an open-source program for interactive visuals, and it brought that feeling right back. It's opened up a whole new world for me. One practical use: prototyping custom web animations. Most of the time I can just replicate them with Framer's built-in controls, but sometimes it's worth custom coding it, and TouchDesigner has helped me understand how to do that when I need to. I'm not a programmer myself, so tools like Claude and Perplexity help fill in the gaps.
